Don is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at The Colony Group. He has over 30 years of experience, working closely with clients on all aspects of wealth management, particularly focusing on investment strategies. He is a CFA® charter holder and is a member of the CFA® Society of Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Colony, Don led the investment management team in the Washington, D.C. office of Sterling Capital’s Private Client Group. He also worked for NationsBank Private Investments as vice president and portfolio manager, managing assets for both individuals and non-profit organizations.
Don is a native of Washington, D.C. and has been a significant fundraiser for various organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Bucknell University, and Landon School. Don received his B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and his M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from The George Washington University. Outside of work, Don enjoys playing a wide variety of sports and spending time with his wife and family.
