The Colony Group Awards Samantha Sickorez Bold and Brilliant Scholarship

We are excited to announce that The Colony Group’s Samantha Sickorez, Billing Specialist, will receive our 2023 Lisa Poff Bold and Brilliant Scholarship. The Lisa Poff Bold and Brilliant Scholarship is awarded annually to a colleague who shares a commitment to learning and exploring new challenges.

Samantha is enrolled in University of Pennsylvania’s High Impact Philanthropy Academy. This program is designed for philanthropic leaders seeking greater impact and focuses on applying these principles in real-world situations. At The Colony Group, Samantha serves as the firm’s secretary on our philanthropy committee, which is made up of colleagues across all of our different offices.

About the Lisa Poff Bold and Brilliant Scholarship

The Lisa Poff Bold and Brilliant Scholarship was founded to support team member’s commitment to learning and exploring new challenges. The scholarship is named after Lisa Poff, who was an extraordinary person and team member, who exemplified all of Colony’s values, most notably her passion as a lifelong learner and her drive to explore new challenges.

Lisa brought out the best in each person who had the privilege of working with her by encouraging everyone to step outside their comfort zone and embrace their zone of genius. She did so in her own personable, thoughtful, and convincing manner. Lisa’s passion for learning and developing her team and other colleagues led to growth and achievement both for the company, and for the people who surrounded her. She was a coal advocate for many at Colony, and her support of them made them better professionals and better humans.
