Arthur (Art) is a Managing Director at The Colony Group and has over 50 years experience. He oversees client portfolio management, investment planning, allocation, strategy, and analysis.
Art started his career at Merrill Lynch in 1972 in the commodity futures department. After a brief stint at Shearson Hayden Stone, he went on to work for Drexel, building their personal asset management business and helping them expand their offices across the United States. In 1988, Art founded his first of five asset managers, which he grew to $900 million AUM in four years. Over the course of the next 35 years, Art founded and managed an additional four investment advisors, with the most recent merging with InterOcean Capital in May of 2023.
Art has previously served as an advisor of two Delaware Trust Companies, multiple Venture Capital, and Private Credit Funds, and has served as a director for a publicly traded company.
Art has a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a Master’s degree from Wayne State University.
