Gina is the Chief Operating Officer and a Principal of The Colony Group, where she provides operational, human capital, technology, and financial management support. She also is part of the team that develops and executes strategic growth and operational initiatives for the firm. Having served as its General Counsel for 15 years, Gina continues to provide legal counsel to The Colony Group, focusing on corporate, employment, compliance, and M&A-related matters.
Prior to joining The Colony Group as its Associate General Counsel in 2005, she was the Assistant to Trust Counsel at Boston Financial Management, Inc. where she provided advice regarding the taxation of trust distributions, gifts, and charitable contributions and worked with clients to assess their financial and estate planning needs in light of applicable estate and gift tax laws. She also has served as a trusts and estates paralegal at Bacon & Wilson, P.C. where she prepared state and federal estate tax returns and managed the probate of estates.
Gina earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and was the recipient of numerous academic honors as well as awards in legal writing and oral advocacy. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Florida. When not in the office, Gina spends her time with her husband and three young children and is involved in her local community and church in Needham, Massachusetts.
