Jay is a Senior Wealth Advisor and a Principal of The Colony Group. In addition to his law degree, he currently holds the professional designations of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®). Prior to joining The Colony Group in 2000, Jay was a practicing attorney for 20 years specializing in estate planning, real estate, and business transactional law. Jay now incorporates that expertise into comprehensive and integrated wealth strategies that include advanced estate and financial planning, philanthropy, and investment management services for high net worth individuals and families and help them build and realize a vision for their legacies.
Jay also presents seminars on wealth management topics and intergenerational wealth transfer and estate tax planning.
Jay earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Investments from Babson College. He is an active member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, a member of the Leadership Council of Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts and a past Chairman and President of the Beacon Hill Civic Association.
