John is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Principal in the Institutional Advisory Practice team. John is responsible for international and equity alternatives investments and co-leads private equity and venture capital investments for the firm. He is a co-Portfolio Manager of The Colony Group Private Equity 2022 access fund and The Colony Group International Opportunities Fund. John’s research efforts additionally focus on opportunities in transformative innovation across sectors.
John brings over more than 15 years of experience working in institutional asset management. He served as a Partner and Managing Director at New Providence Asset Management prior to their merger with The Colony Group in 2021.
John graduated Phi Beta Kappa receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with distinction from the University of Colorado. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
John lives in New York City with his wife whom he met in high school. They have two sons and enjoy traveling and skiing as a family. When time allows, John likes to read philosophy, which he adamantly believes is beneficial to his personal and professional life.
