O. Needom Mitchell is a Senior Compliance Associate at The Colony Group. He supports the Chief Compliance Officer and the General Counsel by assisting in regulatory compliance of the firm’s platform services.
Prior to joining the firm, Needom was the Associate Compliance Officer at InterOcean Capital Group where he assisted the Chief Compliance Officer in vendor due diligence, policy updates, and overseeing regulatory compliance for the organization.
Before working in finance, Needom was a Contract Specialist with the U.S. Department of Defense. Needom earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati and B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Economics from Xavier University. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois.
Outside of the office, Needom enjoys spending time with his wife and son, hosting backyard cookouts, and attending Chicago sporting events.
