Susan is a Managing Director and a Senior Wealth Advisor with The Colony Group.  She has over 30 years of experience in the areas of investment management, tax, financial planning, and financial advisory services.

As a recognized leader in the area of financial dispute resolution, particularly in relation to financial issues associated with divorce, estates and other intra-family matters, Susan acts in various capacities including advisor, expert witness, and financial neutral. She is a leading advocate for collaborative and mediated solutions in marital and family disputes. Susan works extensively with lawyers, mediators and clients to address financial issues that arise as part of family and business disputes.

Prior to merging with The Colony Group in early 2019, Susan founded and was president of Aurora Financial Advisors, a wealth management firm, that specialized in investment management, tax, and financial planning.

Susan is a past president of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and a former board member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals.  She has trained financial professionals in the Collaborative Law process in Massachusetts, as well as nationally and internationally. She is a sought-after speaker and has presented divorce finance seminars for the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council.

Susan has been named by Boston Magazine as a “Five Star Wealth Manager” four times since 2010. She was named one of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council 2023 Visionary Award recipients. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and a trained mediator. Susan holds a B.A. in Economics from Wells College, and a Masters degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University.
